Biography

Chad Harting was a pole vaulter who competed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He made the Olympic team by tying for third at the US Olympic Trials and winning a jump-off for the final spot. He also won a silver medal in the vault at the 1997 World University Games. Harting vaulted in college at Arkansas State University, where he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in exercise science. He was mostly known for his indoor performances.
