Biography

Erkki Lehtonen played most of his career from 1977-91 with one club – Tappara Tampere – except a short spell from 1988-89 in Germany, where he played with the Berlin Capitals. With Tappara Lehtonen won a Finnish title six times (1979, 1982, 1984, 1986-88). Internationally Lehtonen won silver at the 1988 Winter Olympics and bronze at the 1986 European Championships.
