Biography

Playing ice hockey, bandy and football, Bertil Linde started his career in 1926 with Karlbergs BK. In 1929 he moved to AIK and finished his career by playing again with Karlbergs BK from 1932-37. Although Linde participated at Swedish Championships in three sports, he never won a Swedish title. Internationally, Linde played ice hockey with the Swedish national team at the 1928 Winter Olympics and 1931 World Championships. He won Olympic silver in 1928, which also doubled as World Championships silver and European Championships gold that year. After finishing his sporting career, Linde worked as a machinist with Arenco AB, a leading Swedish manufacturer of packaging and fish processing machinery.
