Biography

Karl, Baron von Diepurg was co-opted onto the IOC in June 1909 and served until his death in 1914, when he was killed in action during World War I. Baron Von Diepurg was a landowner and cavalry officer with the Royal Prussian Horse Guards (1885-98), who was recalled to service for the War. He also served as Chamberlain to the Grand Duke of Baden and was President of the Baden-Baden Riding Club. His sports were yachting, race car driving, and boxing.
