Tan Aik Mong was a badminton player who competed at the 1972 Olympic badminton demonstration tournament. Tan was All-England Champion in 1966 and played for Malaysia multiple times in the Thomas Cup. He helped Malaysia to a runner-up finish at the 1970 Thomas Cup, won the 1971 Asian Championship in singles, and won medals at two Southeast Asian Games.
Tan later became a coach, notably training the Sidek brothers. He also worked with the Badminton Association of Malaysia. Tan was a systems analyst and computer manager at two major computer companies.
