Biography

Melvin Idarius played in the basketball tournament that was held during the 1904 St. Louis Olympics. He represented the Chicago Central YMCA that finished second in the tournament. The team played two games, defeating the Xavier Athletic Club, but losing to the Buffalo German team that won the event, and won three games by default. Idarius did not appear in either of the box scores of those two games but was known to be on the team in 1904 at the Olympics.
