Darren Hamm

Darren Hamm competed in the windsurfing demonstration at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, placing second. Hamm was from Las Vegas. He finished second at the US Olympic Trials. The description of his performance in Los Angeles, was that in the freestyle section he, “centerstaged a clew-first, leeward railride inside the booms, then hammed it up with a “Hamm-over” (stepping quickly over the boom from an inside-the-boom sailing position) finishing with an up-close, 45-second breakdance.”
