Biography

Kerry Lynch was US Nordic combined champion in 1981, 1983, and 1986. He also became the second American, after John Bower, to win an event at Holmenkollen, winning the 1983 Nordic combined, 13 years after Bower+IBk-s victory in the same event. Lynch won one other World Cup event, in 1983 in Austria. At the 1987 World Championship, Lynch placed second, only to lose his medal when it was revealed that he had blood doped prior to the competition, and he was suspended from international skiing for two years.
