Biography

Richard Augsten was a member of the German ethnic group in Czechoslovakia. He taught natural sciences at various secondary schools in Bohemia and Moravia, and wrote several stage plays, which were performed by local theater groups. He called his 1936 entry Ewiges Olympia (Eternal Olympia) a “festival play”. Obviously, it was not published and the only existant version is a typed one.
