Biography

Adriana Gerši was a Czech tennis player who played professionally from 1994 to 2002. Gerši achieved a career-best singles ranking of #48 in the world in June 1997 and a doubles ranking of #165 in the world in October 1996. On the ITF Circuit she won five singles and two doubles titles, but only won one singles title on the WTA Tour. Gerši reached the third round at Grand Slams on two occasions, first at the Australian Open in 1998 and the second at the US Open in 2000. Also in 2000 she competed in the singles at the Sydney Olympics, but lost to Dominique Van Roost in straight sets.
