Biography

Jenny Johnson-Jordan came from Olympic royalty as the daughter of 1960 Olympic decathlon gold medalist Rafer Johnson. She attended UCLA, as had her father, and played on the volleyball team from 1991-95, but she later focused on beach volleyball.

During her beach career she played on almost all the major tours, including the Pro 4’s, FIVB, WPVA, BVA and AVP Tours, and won the 1997 FIVB 4-Person World Beach Championship. Johnson-Jordan competed at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and won a silver medal at the 1999 World Championships, both alongside Nettie Davis.

After her playing career ended Johnson-Jordan returned to UCLA in 2013 as an assistant beach volleyball coach and was later named associate head coach. She led the Bruins to NCAA titles in 2018 and 2019 and in 2019 was named AVCA National Assistant Beach Coach of the Year. She has also served as a High Performance Coach for USA Volleyball. She married Kevin Jordan, who was a wide receiver on the UCLA football team.
