Biography

Chip Minton competed in bobsledding at the 1994 and 1998 Winter Olympics, finishing fifth in four-man at Nagano. Minton won a bronze medal in four-man at the 1997 World Championships. He initially worked as a prison guard after high school, while training in bodybuilding, but became interested in bobsled when he saw Herschel Walker slide at the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics.

Minton began training for professional wrestling while he was competing in bobsled. He made his ring début in June 1995 under the name Mr. World Class. Because of his sliding commitments, he wrestled sporadically over the next few years, later appearing as Chip Minton. Minton’s last professional match was in July 1999. In September 2007 Minton joined Team Impact, a Christian athlete ministry.
