Biography

Rudolf Potsch was an offensive defenseman who started his career with SK Kralovo Pole in 1955, but moved to RH Brno in the 1956-57 season. He played for Brno through the 1968-69 season, and then played three years in Germany with Düsseldorfer EC. He then returned to Brno where he played with Ingstav Brno for two seasons before retiring in 1974. In his Czechoslovak League career, Potsch played in 396 games, scoring 153 goals and 290 points. With Düsseldorfer, he played in 92 games, scoring 26 goals and 45 points. Potsch competed for Czechoslovakia at the 1960 and 1964 Winter Olympics, winning a bronze medal in 1964. He competed at four World Championships, winning silver medals in 1961 and 1965-66, and a bronze medal in 1963.
