Cveto Pretnar was a goalkeeper who played in the top Yugoslav leagues from 1980-93, always with Acroni Jesenice. A Slovenian, Pretnar played at the B World Championships in 1981 and 1991, and the C Worlds in 1982 and 1989. In 1992 he helped Acroni to the Slovenian Championship despite playing with a broken rib.
