Biography

Brian Rolston played college hockey with Lake Superior State of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. He represented the US at the World Junior Championships in 1992 and 1993. After being drafted by the New Jersey Devils, he spent two seasons with the Albany River Rats, before coming up to the NHL in 1995, helping them to win a Stanley Cup that year. Rolston has since represented the US numerous times internationally, at the 1994, 2002, and 2006 Winter Olympics, the 1996 World Championships, and the 1997 and 2005 World Cups. Rolston is a utility forward, able to play all three positions well. After playing five seasons with the Devils, Rolston was traded to the Colorado Avalanche, and later also played for the Minnesota Wild and the Boston Bruins, before returning to the Devils in 2008. Rolston played in the 2007 NHL All-Star Games.
