Biography

Juhani Ruotsalainen competed for Finland in ski jumping in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He competed at the 1968 Winter Olympics, the 1970 and 1974 World Championships, and at the first Ski Flying World Championships in 1972. In World Cup competition he had three podiums with two silver and one bronze medal. Ruotsalainen won the Ruka Competition in 1969-70 and 1973. He also won the 1967 Swiss Ski Week event. He later worked in the sports department for the city of Lahti.
