Biography

Walter Sachs earned nine international ice hockey caps and was a German Champion in 1914, 1920-21, 1923-26, and 1928-30 with Berliner SC. He played at the 1928 St. Moritz Winter Olympics with Germany, with the team eliminated in the first round. Before World War I Sachs was part of the German team at the 1912 and 1913 LIHG Championships. In 1927 he took part at the European Championships winning a bronze medal with the German team. He was later inducted into the German Hall of Fame for Ice Hockey.
