Biography
Aleksandr Sidelnikov played his entire career from 1967-84 with one club – Krylya Sovetov Moskva. With them he won one Soviet title in 1974, one silver in 1975 and two bronzes in 1973 and 1978, also winning the 1975 European Champions Cup with them. Internationally Sidelnikov won Olympic gold in 1976, was World and European Champion in 1973 and 1974, and won silver at the 1976 World and European Championships and a bronze at the 1977 World and European Championships. Sidelnikov also took part in the 1974 Summit Series. After his sporting career Sidelnikov worked as a children’s hockey coach with Krylya Sovetov, and later worked as a coach and manager of hockey club MGU.
