Biography

Defender Fredrik Stillman played most of his career from 1982-01 with HV71, except for short spells with the Berlin Capitals in Germany in 1995-96 and 1999-00. With HV71, Stillman won the 1995 Swedish title and was selected to the 1993 Swedish Championships all-star team. Internationally Stillman was capped 156 times with the Swedish national team. He played at two Olympic Winter Games (1992 and 1994) and five world Championships (1991-95). Stillman won a 1994 Olympic gold, was World Champion in 1991 and 1992, won World Championships silvers in 1993 and 1995, World Championships bronze in 1994 and European Championships silver in 1991. Stillman finished his hockey career in 2001 after a serious shoulder injury and from 2003-05 worked as an assistant coach with HV71. In 2005 he became general manager of HV71. He was awarded the Stora Grabbars Märke (Big Boys’ Badge) #151 in ice hockey.
