Biography

Hans Trauttenberg played for Austria in ice hockey at the 1936 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Winter Olympics. A defenseman, he was capped 27 times for Austria between 1936-43, playing at the 1939 World Championships, 1941 Wintersportwoche, and the Spengler Cup in 1938-39 and 1942-44.

Trauttenberg started his career with Davos HC but moved to Basel EHC in 1934. He returned to Davos in 1937, also playing with Zürich City in that year, but he stayed with Davos from 1937 until he ended his career in 1945. Trauttenberg went into sports administration and led the Swiss league during the 1950s. He was a storekeeper.
