Biography

Hermann von Valta was a member of the Germany I four-man bob team at the 1936 Garmisch Winter Olympics which finished a disappointing seventh. He also finished fifth, with Hanns Kilian, in the two-man event. He also won two gold medals in the four-man event at the 1934 and 1935 World Championships (1934, 1935). Von Valta later became president of the Agricultural Office and the Agricultural School in Augsburg.
