Biography

Flatwater canoeist Heiderose Wallbaum finished fifth in the K-2 500 at the 1976 Montréal Olympics, partnering Barbara Lewe-Pohlmann-Schüttpelz. Wallbaum won a bronze and silver medal with the West German K-4 500 at the 1970 and 1971 Worlds, respectively. She won the West German national titles in the K-4 500 from 1971-73, and was second in the three years from 1974-76. In the K-2 500 she partnered the non-Olympian Silvia Schneider, and again finished second in 1970 and 1973-75.
