Biography

Anton Wembacher was a world class luger in the men’s singles and in the doubles with Anton Winkler, together winning a bronze medal at the 1979 World Championships. They also finished sixth at the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Games. Anton Wembacher also competed in singles at Lake Placid and finished eighth. His brother Franz was also a top German luger.
