Biography

Together with Roland Kapf, flatwater canoeist Klaus Lewandowsky reached the final in the C2-1,000 meters at the 1968 Mexico Olympics, finishing seventh. The pair won the West German championships over 500, 1,000 and 10,000 meters in 1967 and 1968. Additionally, Lewandowsky won national titles in C1-500 meters in 1963, and C1-10,000 in 1962 and 1963.
