Biography

German whitewater canoeist Michael Senft partnered André Ehrenberg at the 1996 Atlanta and the 2000 Sydney Games. The pair won the bronze medal in the Canadian doubles in 1996, and finished eighth in 2000. In 2004 at Athens, Senft then partnered Christian Bahmannn and they finished an unfortunate fourth.

At World Championships, Senft won a gold medal in 1995 with Bahmann, and three more silvers and two bronzes. At European Championships, he won a medal of each colour. Senft later became manager of the Regional Whitewater Olympic Center at Augsburg.
