Shooting at the 1936 Summer Olympics

Dates 6 – 8 August 1936
Medal Events 3

After the minimal program of only two shooting events in 1932, the shooting world was hoping for a more representative program in 1936. But it was disappointed. One event was added, but this gave a program of only three events – rapid-fire pistol, free pistol, and small-bore rifle, prone (English match). The shooting events were contested at the Shooting Range of the German Research Institute, in Wannsee, which was a 2-hour drive from the Olympic Village.
