Archery was still on the Olympic Program, as in 1972 and 1976, and again contested a men’s and women’s individual event. The archery events were held at the Polya dlya strelby iz luka, Sportivny komplex Krylatskoye, or the Olympic Archery Fields at the Krylatskoye Sports Complex. No other events were contested there.
