Equestrian Jumping at the 2012 Summer Olympics

Dates 4 – 8 August 2012
Medal Events 2

The equestrian events of the 2012 London Olympics were held in the middle of the city in Greenwich Park. A 23,000 seat temporary arena built in the shadow of the National Maritime Museum hosted the show jumping and dressage.

Individual jumping and the Grand Prix de Nations were held at the 2012 Olympics, but they were conducted as separate competitions. The individual jumping’s first two qualifying phases started the jumping, followed by the Grand Prix de Nations, and then the final round of the individual competition. A popular victory occurred when Great Britain won the Grand Prix de Nations in front of the London fans. Swiss rider Steve Guerdat won the individual jumping.
