Biography

German curler Heike Wieländer competed at the Nagano 1998 and Vancouver 2010 Olympics to lead the German team to eighth and sixth place respectively, when curling was, by then, a full Olympic sport. At European Championships, Wieländer won three gold (1989, 1995, 1998), one silver (1994) and two bronze medals (1996-97). After her marriage to Swiss curler Andi Schwaller, she represented Switzerland from 2010.
