Biography

A farmer and cattle dealer from South Lanarkshire, Willie Jackson was the preeminent Scottish curler of the first half of the twentieth century. He skipped his rink to well over a hundred tournament victories and was the outstanding performer when a Scottish team visited Canada in late 1924. Jackson served as president of the Royal Caledonian Curling Club in 1933-34. His son Laurence was also a member of his gold medal winning team.
