Biography

Donald Barcome Jr. was a curler selected as an alternate on Tim Somerville’s team at the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics; however, Barcome did compete in the match against Great Britain. Barcome represented the USA three times at the World Junior Championships, winning the title in 1979, and earning a bronze medal in 1977. Barcome was a three-time US Junior Champion. He also competed at the 1999 World Championships as vice-skip on Somerville’s team, where they finished fourth, after winning the 1999 US Championships. Barcome earned a BS degree from Northern Arizona University, after also attending the University of North Dakota.
