Biography

Tim Somerville competed at the 1992 Winter Olympic curling demonstration and then in the medal events in 1998 and 2002. He was the son of curling legend Bud Somerville, who competed with him in 1992. Tim Somerville was on the US Championship team in 1992, 1995-96 and 1999. He competed at the World Championships those four years, winning a bronze medal in 1992 and making the semi-finals in 1995 and 1999. Somerville was a multiple Wisconsin Champion, winning his first title in 1984, and was a four-time Wisconsin State Junior Champion, winning consecutively in 1978-81.
