German-born Christiane Soeder was a road cyclist who participated at the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Olympics representing Austria. She finished 24th in the road race in 2004 and at Beijing was an unfortunate fourth in the road race and seventh in the individual road time trial. Soeder also competed in duathlon events and became German champion three times 1999-2001. She was also European duathlon runner-up in 2001 and won several Austrian national titles between 2004-12.

As a road cyclist, Soeder won the bronze medal in the individual time trial at the 2007 World Championships. In 2008, she won the Tour Cycliste Féminin, which was the female equivalent to the Tour de France. That same year she was the first woman to be named Cyclist of the Year in Austria and was also awarded the Decoration of Honour for Services to the Republic of Austria.
