Biography

Heike Kemmer was a double Olympic dressage champion in the team event in 2004 and 2008 with her horse Bonaparte 67, adding a bronze in the 2008 individual competition. She won a silver medal as far back as the 1984 German Championships but then concentrated on her studies, coming back to win a silver medal at the 2000 German Championships, and returning to the world’s elite dressage riders, then riding Albano, and being named an alternate at the 2000 Olympics. One year later she won an individual bronze medal at the German Championships and team gold at the European Championships, repeating with the German team in 2003 and 2005. Kemmer was individual German dressage champion in 2005 and 2006. Professionally she is a business economist.
