Biography

Pete Fenson skipped the team that won the first Olympic curling medal, a bronze, for the United States at the Torino Winter Olympics. Fenson came from a curling family as his father, Bob Fenson, was on the 1979 national championship rink. Pete was third at the nationals in 1993 and 1994. His rink, skipped by Scott Baird went to the 1999 World Championships semi-finals. In 2003 Pete Fenson skipped the US national champion rink, which then placed eighth at the Worlds. In 2005, he again skipped the national champion rink, qualifying for the World Championship. At the Worlds, his rink was in a six-way tie for first, but lost out in the tie-breaker; however, his sixth-place finish qualified him for the 2006 Winter Olympics.
