Marianne Vos stormed onto the world stage in her first senior year (2006), immediately winning world titles in cyclo-cross and the road race. In 2008 she added a third world title on the track (points race), making her the only world champion to win titles in these three disciplines. She has since become cyclo-cross World Champion thrice more (2009-11), won the Olympic points race in 2008, and was runner-up in the road race at the World Championships for four consecutive years (2007-10). She also captured the UCI Women’s Road World Cup in 2007 and twice more in 2009-10.
