Biography

Cork-native Kevin Barry was a veteran of World War II, serving with the 31st Battalion, and later joining the Army Equitation School. In 1951 he was the winner of the King George V Cup on Ballyneety in show jumping and in 1956 was a member of the Irish equestrian team that competed in Stockholm. He retired in 1963 at the rank of commandant and as second-in-command at the School.
