Norwegian skier Audun Grønvold competed in both alpine and freestyle events, winning national titles in both disciplines. Grønvold won his first Norwegian title in 2003 in the downhill before retaining his title the following year, followed by becoming the national ski cross champion in 2005 and 2006. In 2005 he also won bronze in the ski cross at the World Freestyle Ski Championships in Ruka, Finland. Grønvold won his final national title in 2010 with victory in the ski cross, earning himself a place at the Olympics, where he went on to win bronze in the same event.
Grønvold’s final year as a competitor was 2010, after which he was forced to retire due to an injury. He then spent the next two years working as the coach for the national ski cross team before establishing his own sports equipment company.
