Biography

Wolf-Dieter Rihs was an Austrian equestrian rider who participated in the 1972 München Olympics. He rode Wieland in the eventing events and came 46th individually and 12th with the team. He won a team gold medal at the 1967 European Championships, and two years later won an individual bronze.

Rihs became a riding instructor working in foreign countries for a couple of years. In 2011 he returned to Salzburg and in 2017 married dressage rider Nina Stadlinger.
