Biography

German badminton player Karen Stechmann competed in the mixed doubles at the 1996 Atlanta Games with Michael Keck, and at the 2000 Sydney Games with Björn Siegemund. On each occasion they were eliminated in the first round. Stechmann also played the women’s doubles with Nicole Grether at Sydney, and reached the second round.

Domestically, Stechmann played with FC Langenfeld and collected eight titles in the women’s and the mixed doubles. In 1996, she won the bronze medal at the European Championships with Keck in the mixed.
