Biography

Dirk Copeland raced the team pursuit at both the 1992 and 1996 Olympics. On the track he won a silver medal in individual pursuit at the 1991 Pan American Games, and was US Champion in team pursuit in 1995, also finishing second that year at the US nationals in the Madison. Copeland later raced mostly on the roads. He won the GC at the 1996 Valley of the Sun Stage Race, also winning Stage 1 in that event. He also took GC titles at the 2004 Madera County Stage Race and the 2006 Cougar Mountain Stage Race.
