Jacques Marcault participated in the road time trial at the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm but did not finish the race. Only one other result for him has been documented, a first place in a race on the Versailles-Rambouillet route and back in 1906, organised by French Cycling Union (UVF).
Marcault lived in Saint-Georges, part of the municipality of Rochecorbon, on the property known as La Chapelle Saint-Germain, which had belonged to his family since the early 19th century. With his wife Janne, he had one son.
