In 1923 Georges Schiltz finished second in the Luxembourg national road race for amateur cyclists, earning himself a place on the Olympic team. At the Paris Games, Schiltz placed 25th in the individual road race, about 40 minutes behind the winning time. Two years after the Olympics he once again finished second at the national road race championships.
