Biography

Lucile, Baroness Fain was a member of the Société de sport de Compiègne, with the 1900 Olympic golf tournament held at the Compiègne Club. She shot 65 for nine holes to finish in a tie for seventh in 1900. Baroness Fain was born Lucile Virginie Madeleine Condren and married into nobility by marrying the Baron Fain. Baron Fain derived his family title from Agathon Jean François Fain, a French historian of the early 19th century, who was titled a Baron of the French Empire in 1809.
