Biography
Jean Etcheberry was a versatile forward who played as a prop or back row forward for France at the 1924 Paris Olympics, winning a silver medal. He was capped 16 times for France. Etcheberry played for Le Boucau from 1914-21, then was with SA Rochefort from 1921-23, US Cognac in 1923-24, and then spent many years with CS Vienne, from 1924-35. He owned and ran a café in Wien (Vienne), and later worked as a coach for CS Vienne, which named their stadium for him. He also worked as a blacksmith.
