Biography

George Buckley was one of several members of the Castle Cary cricket club who played in the Paris match. He batted only in the first innings and scored two runs. Of the 22 French dismissals only five were caught, and Buckley claimed one of them, when he held Robert Horne off the bowling of Frederick Christian, when on 15 in France’s first innings.
