Biography

Giampaolo Medda competed at hockey for Italy at the 1952 and 1960 Olympics, captaining the Italian team in 1960. He played for the well-known Cagliaritan team of Amsicora, winning four Italian titles between 1956-61. Medda later became a high school physical teacher and a hockey coach. He coached the Italian national team, and was chairman of the Sardinian Regional Committee.
