Biography

Steve Wagner was a goalkeeper for the USA men’s hockey team at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Wagner had played ice hockey as a youth but his high school had no ice hockey team so he played football. He attended college at Temple University where he played field hockey. He made the US junior team while he was in college. Wagner won a bronze medal at the 1991 Pan American Games. He also won seven medals, and three golds, in seven appearances at the US Olympic Festivals.

Wagner continued to compete after the Olympics, helping the US win a silver medal at the 2002 Indoor Pan American Cup. He later started his own goalkeeping camps, Goalkeeping 1-On-1, LLC, which is based on the Philadelphia area.
