Biography

Andrée Boisson fenced women’s foil at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. She was French Champion in 1938, 1941, 1943, and 1946-47, and won the Coupe de Chambly, Challenges de Bachelard, and Albert Ayat Trophies during her career. Boisson was a member of the French Fencing Federation where she worked on opportunities for women and youths. She became a member of the Rules Committee of the Fédération d’Éscrime (FIE). Boisson received the Chevalier de’Ordre National di Mérite, and was an officer of the Academy, and an officer of the Mérite Sportif.
