Biography

Sabre fencer Walter Convents was eliminated in the third round of the 1972 München Games. With the West German sabre team he took seventh place. Convents participated in four World Championships but did not medal in either the team or individual events. In 1975, he won his only national title. By profession, Convents was a precision engineer. In 2011, he took over as director of the swimming hall in Urberach near Offenbach.
